About

Our mission is to bring hope and healing to those who feel least healable.

The Wonder Within was created to address the unique physical, mental, and emotional needs of veterans, first responders, and front line health care workers/educators. These individuals often work in high-stress and sometimes traumatic situations, which can take a toll on their overall health and well-being.

Our workshops on breath-work, self-massage, mobility, recovery, and more are designed to provide practical tools and techniques that these individuals can use to heal themselves. We understand that these individuals are often least likely to check in with their mental health or know how to self-heal, which is why our mission is to bring hope and healing to those who feel least healable.

About the Founder, Amber Miskovich

As the founder and creator of The Wonder Within, my vision and service lies deeply in a community of service. A core value I learned in the Airforce was service before self and that is rooted in my vision.  Bringing healing to those least healable. Veterans and first responders are close to my heart as I served in the Air National Guard for 15 years as a medic. I left my full time firefighting career for my family and have found my passion from showing the outlets through sharing wellness.

We are committed to delivering the best in the business because we understand the high stakes involved in working with first responders, who have a 5-year life expectancy post-retirement. Our wellness instructors uphold this commitment, ensuring that our programs and services maintain the highest level of quality.

I've been fortunate enough to receive yoga instruction from The Wonder Within at my firehouse. Our jobs are full of physical and mental stress. The techniques and exercises we've learned have helped my body and mind survive. Breath control and tension release enable me to handle basically everything the job throws at me, or quickly recover after. I've definitely become a fan, and I encourage all to try it. My crew gets younger, as I get older. The body maintenance tricks enable me to perform as a benefit as opposed to a detriment to my team. Learning to listen to my body, and then attend to it. Thank you to your team for benefitting my department. I'm thankful for your time with us, and I look forward to hopefully inspiring more people next year.
