What inspires you the most?
I am inspired by being able to be a part of something that helps and encourages the growth of other people. It is amazing to see the light turn on inside of someone when they realize their own potential and believe in themselves. Who is your hero & why? I don't have just one hero. I feel like my heroes can change on a daily basis - it can be someone who selflessly does something for others without expecting anything in return to someone that I admire for their teachings, like Brene Brown. I believe we run into heroes every day as long as we keep our eyes open. What is your hometown? Where do you currently live? I am originally from the west side of Cleveland, growing up in North Olmsted, Ohio. I came to Columbus for college and ultimately settled with my husband & 2 sons in Powell. What are your trainings/ certifications/ specialties? I have practiced yoga for over 10 years, but am in the process of completing my RYT-200 in January 2020 with the Soul of Yoga teacher training program. I have a personal practice of meditation and pranayama (breathing) practice. I am a pediatrician in Dublin, Ohio and have been practicing medicine since 2001. What is your favorite thing to do? I love to gather friends together and spend time with those that I love. What is your favorite yoga pose? Goddess Pose. It is a pose to me that represents strength, power and confidence. What has yoga done for you? Yoga has led me to a path of self discovery in so many ways. It has led me to people who share a similar desire of healing and sharing this practice with others. Yoga, while great for the body, is even more powerful for the mind. What is your charity of choice? I am trying to focus my charitable causes on local organizations that give back to my community so it can be variable. Additionally, my family supports the March of Dimes on a more national level to give back because my son was born very prematurely.
