What inspires you the most?
Kind and happy people. Who is your hero & why? My dad, Alan Daft. His first name was Lee, which is my middle name. He passed away in 2015 from cancer. He was the kindest, happiest, and bravest person I will ever know and always put his family first. He lived his life full of laughter and love and did not let negative influences have power over his life. He grew up as the man of the house with his two younger brothers, mom, and grandma. He was a Navy vet and successful, self-made stockbroker. As a stockbroker, he focused on helping the elderly manage money and would make house visits. He inspires me every day to be grateful for my life and to smile and laugh. What is your hometown? Where do you currently live? I grew up in Canton, Ohio, and currently live in Lewis Center. What are your trainings/ certifications/ specialties? Currently, I hold a 200 hour RYT. I especially enjoy balancing poses and inversions. What is your favorite thing to do? My perfect day includes yoga with my family (husband, Jim, and three daughters, Emma-23, Ellie-20, and Megan-18), a walk with our dogs (Sam and Delilah), and a family trip to the Book Loft in German Village. What is your favorite yoga pose? Tree What has yoga done for you? At first, yoga was a no impact option to relieve my hips and knees from running. I quickly learned yoga is not only challenging physically, but also mentally. Yoga takes care of my mind and my body; yoga reminds me to listen to my body, breathe, let go of garbage, and focus on gratitude. Plus, yoga allows me to play and have fun next to amazing people! What is your charity of choice? Local families in need Cause for Canines. We currently foster dogs for this organization. What is your favorite quote? "Integrity is doing the right thing.
