What inspires you the most?
I find inspiration by helping people and watching other people discover their own growth. I also get really inspired by nature and a powerful playlist. Who is your hero & why? I have been influenced by so many inspiring leaders, I don’t think I could narrow down to one. Time and time again, Brene Brown really speaks to me. Other leaders include Thich Nhat Hahn, Dalai Lama, Ram Das, and Nelson Mandala. What are your trainings/ certifications/ specialties? I have training in Power and Yin. I enjoy balancing both sides of the practice. What is your favorite thing to do? I really enjoy spending time outside, whether it is hiking, kayaking, or watching my children play. What is your favorite yoga pose? I really do love heart and hip openers but my ultimate favorite is balancing half moon or modified fish. What has yoga done for you? My yoga practice has provided a foundation for introspection, meditation, and reflection. My practice has taught me to stay calm during moments of adversity and conflict. I have learned that my breath is always there for me. It is a reminder that I can breathe instead of reacting. Yoga has impacted in various facets of my life. What is your charity of choice? National Alliance on Mental Illness What is your favorite quote? My short answer is: “There is no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time.” My long answer is: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
